Will Microfinance continue to do well? Geneva, 23 June 2009
Tuesday the 23rd of June, 2009.17.00 – 19.00 followed by a networking cocktail.Venue: Geneva. This event will start with an independent overview of microfinance investment as an investment opportunity for patient investors. This will include a description of products and intermediaries, their historical performance, and scenarios for the future. Paul Spijkers of APG Investments will then describe this pension fund’s pioneering work in microfinance. He will subsequently moderate a panel of international financial institutions, including IFC and EBRD, to talk about the role of public funding in managing the risks of investing in microfinance in times of crisis and beyond.
The conference is for pension funds and asset managers interested in information that will help them decide whether microfinance would be a valuable addition to their portfolio.
