Geneva confirms its positioning as a key international center for sustainable finance with a record number of participants to the third edition of the Geneva Summit on Sustainable Finance. About 800 investors, bankers, academics, regulators, politicians and other members of civil society coming from 20 countries have met in Geneva to discuss the role of finance in promoting sustainable development.
We wish to thank the University of Geneva and the GFRI for this exciting adventure which we initiated together in 2013. Thank you also to the Latsis Foundation, UNEP-FI and the Swiss Finance Institute who contributed to the great success of this third edition.

The theme for this year’s event was “The Role of Finance in Promoting Sustainable Development.”
Created in 2013 by the University of Geneva, the GFRI and SFG, this summit aimed at bringing together finance practitioners, university researchers and policy makers in order to intensify the debate on the role of sustainable development in finance. It also participates in positioning Geneva as a key actor of this industry worldwide.
