What role private finance can play in ensuring the move to a low carbon economy? How can investors feed into the policy process into the run-up to COP17 in Durban? The climate negotiations in Mexico succeeded in keeping the multilateral process alive but left many key issues unresolved. Climate change is increasingly a significant risk/return factor for investors and private finance remains critical to the development of a low carbon economy.
